Born in Lisbon in 1975. License in History, Archaeology variant of the Faculty of Arts, University of Lisbon (1994). As Senior Technician of the Division of Heritage Property, Mobile and Immaterial of the Directorate General of Cultural Heritage, performs management duties of Archaeological Inventory on the Information System of the Archaeological Heritage.
Sílvia Leite Direção Geral do Património Cultural

Has a License in Art History and a Master in Arts, Cultural Heritage and Restoration. Currently works for the General Directorate for the Cultural Heritage, collaborating in the Architectural Heritage Inventory since 2001. She previously received a fellowship for research in Art History, and has published a book and several articles in the field.
Filipa Neto Direção Geral do Património Cultural
Has a License in Archaeology and a Master in Human Evolution. Works, since 1998, in the Inventory of the archeological heritage, and the development and management of data bases of cultural heritage. Has several articles in the field. Currently works for the General Directorate for the Cultural Heritage
Catarina Oliveira Direção Geral do Património Cultural

License and a Master degree, and is currently a PhD student in Art History at Faculdade de Letras de Lisboa. She is a member of the Portuguese Architectural and Archaeological Heritage inventory team and the author of several specialized articles and on-line publications.
Filipa Bragança Direção Geral do Património Cultural

Has a License in History-Archaeology by the Faculty of Letters, University of Lisbon (1994-1998). Since 1998 works at the Information System of Archaeological Heritage, currently integrated in the Division of Heritage Property, Mobile and Immaterial of the General Directorate of Cultural Heritage.

Abstract

The Directorate General for Cultural Heritage (DGPC) is responsible for managing the inventory of listed heritage, heritage awaiting listing, as well as archaeological heritage in mainland Portugal. This primary task, that involves systematizing inventory rules and implementing a methodical and updated inventory of cultural heritage, is an essential tool for managing and safeguarding this heritage. The inventory of urban heritage, comprising archaeological and architectural heritage, is particularly complex as it is intertwined with land use management.
