The Pawnshop palace in Messina, designed by Natale Masuccio and built starting in 1616, was severely damaged by the 1908 earthquake. Currently remains only the facade of the ground floor and some rooms behind. The aim of this research is to introduce some of the computing power in the field of "digital reconstruction of architecture" for documentation, recovery and the "conscious use" of architecture severely degraded or compromised compared to its original configuration. The reading of the monument, intended as a document, has allowed us a comparison between photography and survey to retrace, through operations analysis and breakdown of the parties, the three phases of a project more recognizable to many hands of his long and troubled history.References
